Neil Adams & Associates is an occupational health & safety service company.

Our key consultants are Dr Neil L Adams & Neil D Adams, both of whom are ergonomists, & members of the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society of Australia. We have a broad range of experience & expertise in relation to ergonomics & safety management.

We have assisted many organisations & individuals by applying our human-centred philosophy & approach to activities such as the design of safe & efficient systems of work; the evaluation & optimisation of current systems, including both the job design & the equipment/workplace design; & ensuring that safe means of access consistent with Australian Standards & other regulatory requirements/guidelines are provided (e.g. by measuring coefficients of friction on floors, undertaking detailed evaluations of stairway, walkway & platform dimensions & design characteristic, etc).

In addition, we frequently work as expert witnesses, preparing objective scientifically valid reports that assist the legal profession (including both Plaintiff & Defendant firms) & the courts in resolving claims for personal injury compensation & workers compensation.

We undertake forensic ergonomic assessments of alleged injury occurrences, perform appropriately detailed analyses of relevant factors, & express opinions on injury causation, foreseeability & prevention. Quite regularly, a report of ours will assist in the early termination or settlement of potentially expensive legal action.

Over the period of nearly three decades in which we have acted as expert witnesses we have developed a very positive reputation with the legal fraternity for excellent, factual & objective forensic reports, & for being reliable expert witnesses.

During that time we have prepared approximately 9000 reports, a majority based on site visits to all manner of industrial sites & other locations, giving us a wealth of practical direct observation-based experience to inform our practice.
